Adding videos to your marketing plan will help increase engagement and grow your brand. At Bigar Creative, we love video content because it forces you to simplify your message. Many brands make the mistake of over-explaining, over-selling, and hitting all the wrong points with video content.
When you create a piece of promotional video content, think about your one-liner. What do you want people to know about you? Now assume they have their sound turned off (ALWAYS use subtitles) and you have 30 seconds or less to tell them what they need to know (elevator pitch) and you have the groundwork for a successful piece of video content.
Facebook has a wonderful feature that allows you to use a video in place of a standard cover photo. I think this really helps bring the platform to life and I love it! We’re rolling out a few animated cover photos now for our clients.

Facebook Video Cover Photo Qualifications
Facebook cover video dimensions are at least 820 x 312 pixels.
The recommended size is 820 x 462 pixels.
Cover videos can be between 20-90 seconds long
They can loop in any way
Don’t rely on sound but it makes a nice touch!
